Virtually every home has 2-wire doorbell wiring already running from the front door to an interior location (typically near the electrical panel or in a utility room). The A1072 uses this existing wire as the transmission medium — no new cable through walls, no drywall cutting, no conduit work.
Comes as a pair: one outdoor unit (installs near the DoorBird at the entrance) and one indoor unit (connects to your network switch). The outdoor unit connects to the DoorBird. The indoor unit plugs into your router or PoE switch. The 2-wire between them carries both data and power.
The outdoor converter unit provides PoE+ (802.3at) output to power the DoorBird intercom — no separate power supply at the door. One 2-wire cable from inside carries everything the DoorBird needs: network connectivity and power.
